Kay Welling
|
Lion Katherine "Kay" Welling passed away on Monday, July 7th.
Lion Kay was the long-time secretary of the Boron Lions Club and the wife of the late PDG Jim Welling.
Kay served the club well and faithfully ever since women were accepted into Lionism, and for many years before that as a member of the "Ladies Auxiliary".
A memorial service was held on Saturday, July 19th, at 2:00 pm, in the multi-purpose room at Boron High School, 26831 Prospect ST., in Boron.

Peter Schellenbach
|
Lion Peter joined the Sunland-Tujunga club in September of 1953 and served as its president in 1956-57. He was active in many club activities, but he especially liked to be the Student Speaker Contest Chairman and/or Program Chairman. He served many years until his death as the Sight Conservation Chairman. He felt his greatest accomplishment in the Lions Club was spearheading two campaigns to establish and then enlarge the Lions Vision Clinic at MEND in the San Fernando Valley.

Services were at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Lancaster, Calif., internment was at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, and friends and family celebrated his life at Antelope Valley University Ballroom on January 15, 2013.
